Real Fun Group acquire Witnall Automatics
Real Fun Group have started their journey with the acquisition of Witnall Automatics Limited, a long established UKGC licenced Bingo and Machine operator.
Trading since 1976, the business comes complete with a two Bingo clubs, including Ritz Bingo, Belper and Crown Bingo, located in Tyne Dock.
Industry veteran and former owner Roger Witnall will continue to operate the clubs with his existing team for the foreseeable future, whilst adding value to the wider group. He stated, “I’m happy to be part of what looks to be an exciting future. I always said that if the day came to hang up my boots, the clubs would need to fall into a trusted and capable pair of hands”.
Real Fun Group CEO Kevin McGinnigle shared, “I’d never even heard of Belper until a few months ago. When I met Roger, Anne and Heather, and witnessed what they had managed to achieve in the quaint, beautiful place that is Belper, I was buzzing. Then I saw Crown up in Tyne Dock and had never seen anything like it! Roger is well regarded for his honesty and transparency and that’s something we really value. I’m glad he and the team are sticking around for the foreseeable future and am happy we could agree a win-win proposition for all parties”.
It’s understood that nothing of note will change across both clubs, and that the Group are actively seeking further acquisitions in the retail bingo sector.
